Andrew Whittaker

Investment Manager

Andrew is an experienced Director and currently sits on several Investment Manager and Fund boards specialising in Debt, Venture, Renewable and Buyout. Andrew has worked in London, Dusseldorf, Paris and the Channel Islands, also with various other jurisdictions worldwide. He has over 20 years of experience in the investment sector and the fund industry, with extensive experience of onshore/offshore vehicles, open and closed, traditional and alternative funds. Andrew is currently Managing Director of Aver Partners, having previously been Managing Director at Ipes (Barings/Apex) and preceding that Managing Director at Capita (Sinclair Henderson/Link). He has held senior management roles at Moscow Narodny (VTB Capital), DML (Hallibuton) and qualified whilst at Midland (HSBC/Montagu). Andrew graduated from Cardiff University and Aix-Marseille Université. He is a Chartered Management Accountant and is a Member of Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI). Andrew is currently Chair of the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA) Channel Islands Working Group and a member of the Association of Investment Companies' (AIC) Technical Committee. He is a previous Chair of the Guernsey Investment Fund Association (GIFA), Council member of Guernsey International Business Association (GIBA), member of the Association of Real Estate Funds (AREF) Regulatory Committee and of Invest Europe's (formally European Venture Capital Association's (EVCA)) Technical Group.

Una Ni Dhonaill

Non executive Director, Fund Accountant, Starwood Capital Group

Una coordinates the operations, finance functions and investor reporting for Starwood European Real Estate Finance Limited. She joined Starwood in October 2020 having previously spent three years in a senior finance role for a Guernsey listed, open ended fund. Prior to that she has worked in a number of listed, private equity backed and start up organisations in Financial Services (JPMorgan), Technology and Recruitment. Ms. Ni Dhonaill began her career at Andersen and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1993. Ms. Ni Dhonaill earned a degree in commerce from University College Dublin. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.

Sandra Platts

Non-Executive Director

Sandra is a Guernsey based independent director with over 30 years experience working in the offshore financial services industry. Sandra worked in international private banking and has experience with complex corporate structures as well as working with private clients. She has experience in banking as well as project and change management. She holds a Masters in Business Administration and a Diploma in Management from the Open University and the IoD Certificate in Company Direction. Sandra is a qualified business coach. She is a member of the IoD and sits on the non executive director committee of the Guernsey Investment Fund Association. Her specialisms include banking, real estate, leadership and business change, corporate governance and risk and regulatory matters.
